VAcorp After Hours Reporting
After hours reporting of claims should be reserved for emergency/large loss claims in
which you are not certain how to proceed. Applicable claims that could warrant a call to
the number below would be losses in which your property is at ongoing exposure to
greater damage or there is potential liability if immediate action is not taken; these
include but are not limited to the following:
- Large structure fires
- Structural damage
- Significant roof damage (hail/wind/lightning)
- Major leaks or pipe breach resulting in excessive water intrusion
- Extensive power loss placing large amounts of food or perishables at risk
- Physically securing unsafe areas (unstable building/massive debris)
VAcorp may choose to visit your loss site or assign an appraiser to do so. Since any
visit from VAcorp personnel or other assigned party may not occur until the next
business day, please take whatever steps are necessary to keep the damaged property
from suffering further damage.
To report an emergency after-hours claim, please see the items below:
- Dial the after-hours toll free number
- Tell the person who answers who you are and what member you represent.
- You may be asked to give a brief description of the occurrence.
- Provide a telephone number where a VAcorp representative can reach you.
- VAcorp personnel will contact you shortly.
After the phone call, we request that you or other applicable member personnel complete
an online submission of the claim though our website at the earliest
possible time.
